Here for a friends wedding this is the best rated place. Very easy to hang out for a while to take Located in the Couer d Alene In July, we were staying at Coeur d Alene Resort with our teenage son. In the evenings, he had other things to do than hang around with his boring parents so we were left to our own devices. We went to Whispers two nights in a row.

We did however find 25 campgrounds within 25 miles of Coeur d Alene. You can also find a list of cities with campgrounds or RV Parks near Coeur d Alene in the left hand column. This park has very tall trees and it s very tight.

We have 43 5th wheel and we stayed in spots B3-B4. We made it in here but it was tight. We turned our unit around when it was vacant on both sides of us so we could exit the park. Not sure we could have made the turn at the end of the Park to exit the normal way. It s close to Costco and sporting goods stores but it sits on a major road. Stayed 3 nights in a 25ft RV, did not enjoy, campground is right on a main busy 4 lane street. It appears that a lot of construction type workers stay here and get all the best spots away from noisy street, very loud trucks when leaving for work at mornings.

Very tight spots. I could not even put out our awning it was so packed afraid of hitting next camper. One good note the bathrooms were very nice, but that s all that was. I believe that I am one of the people some of the other reviewers are referring to in their review. I tried to make my reservation at the same time as M. I spoke with a female employee on the phone when we made our reservations for July 7th thru July 9th.

When we arrived on the afternoon of the 7th we were told that they did not have our reservation, because we were a month late! They claimed we made our reservation for JUNE th! How is that possible when the reservations were made on June 17th!!! Retroactive reservations I guess The employees were dumbfounded. There s no way the two big rigs would even come close to fitting in the single spot they proposed. We would then have to find somewhere in the facility to park our tow vehicles, but they didn t know where that would be.

After more than an hour of nonsense, we told them we wanted a full refund and we were leaving. The one thing they did right was issue a full refund. We were sent off on a Friday afternoon with no reservations anywhere, and no openings anywhere nearby. Aside from the incompetent staff and their comedy of errors, the park left a lot to be desired. As others have said, it is smack in the middle of the city on a very busy, noisy road.

The spaces are very tight, cramped and buried in very tall trees. There s no way you could get any satellite TV service. The roads were very narrow. We had doubts about just being able to navigate them safely when we exited to park. A large number of the spaces in the park were taken by full-timers. The park must have very liberal rules that apply to them as it looked very cluttered and junky.

Our experience left such a bad taste in our mouth that we would not return here on a dare. Town has grown up around this park. As other reviewers have said, the right turn off the main road is tight - more than a 90 degree angle. The roads are paved, but the sites are large, rocky gravel. The spaces are very close together. Try for site 5 as the one next door has a tree and picnic table in it and I don t think they put people there too often. The water is high pressure so a regulator is needed.

But it is very tidy and did quiet down at night. The staff was person was perfunctory when we pulled in, but when I had called earlier, I got a very friendly person. The plus side of this place is that it is right in town and right on the bike path. There is a nice boardwalk on the river walking distance from the park.

Note this park is changing its name from River Walk to Riverstone. The signage at the park says Riverstone but the web site is still River Walk. The park is very conveniently located to the interstate; you can walk to a upscale shopping area with restaurants, brand new movie theatre, business services like Verizon and massage. Plus there are several coffee bars seems on every corner.

Grocery stores are close. While you re in the area, be sure to make the 30 minute drive up to Farragut State Park; it was a not-so-secret Navy Training Center during WW II and they have a very interesting museum. The park is located on Pend Oreille, a pristine lake with a family friendly swimming cove. Silverwood, a very popular theme park, is also located right next door.

As other reviewers have noted, spaces close together; some permanents even claiming adjoining sites for parking and giving you the "stink eye" if you get near it. Paved roads and gravel sites, most somewhat level. Very little to no shade. The place could use a good general cleaning and a good amount of maintenance sites currently without electricity, busted cable connections, etc. Another thing, don t dare hook up to the water, even with a filter!

It is terrible, could not even swallow my first gulp! Power ok for our 30a unit at v. Rest rooms and showers clean and maintained. Did not use laundry room. No picnic table, fire ring, patio, etc. Very little room to park a tow vehicle; host simply had us park in a non-functional site. Registration office a paper and junk cluttered mess. Camp host appeared to be trying to make a go of it but seemed completely overwhelmed. I guess location is everything as this is extremely close to downtown, the college, bike paths and the river.

All in all, I d pay the considerable extra bucks next time and stay at the campground across the bridge. Best thing about this park is it s location, however wi-fi was pretty sad and one feels like you re located in a parking lot next to the freeway. We then left and went to Blanchard north and really enjoyed our stay up there. Lots of activities and golf on site. Great Dog park, too. We arrived here late in the season. It is in a great location, particularly for families wanting to take advantage of the lake front site.

Upon driving in we were impressed by the lush lawn along the roadway and the extensive fencing. We had called ahead to get a reservation and that turned out to be unnecessary but would expect that it would be essential during high season. Check in was friendly and helpful. Our site was in a circular layout with lots of space in between.

Utilities were up to date and WiFi worked. A good stop for several days, or a one nighter when travelling on I Stayed for a week after Labor Day without any problems. From desk check in was very efficient and worked at putting our group of 4 RV together. Wi-Fi at front and back of campground and better early in morning than during day. All in all, a pleasant stay.

One of the biggest Elk Lodges we have camped. Sites are spacious, as we have 4 slides and 40ft motorhome. Plenty of room to park tow vehicle. If you want a pin they charge for them. Would definitely stay here again. Saturday farmers market is within walking distance. The only negative is there are some homes which back up to the park and the dog owner allows their dog to bark.

Only problem with this place is no sewer. Lodge is nice and friendly.

Commission member Mike Dodge said drawings of the new tower make it look unrelated to the lakefront resort. Barlow also said the construction budget prevents major changes to the design, as some commission members suggested. Resort co-founder Duane Hagadone has the money to make the addition a beautiful building, he said. Jada Endicott said the proposed tower, which would rise over the west end of the Resort Plaza Shops just north of the existing hotel, stands apart from the rest of the resort. The addition would become the focal point of the west entrance to downtown, not the taller, room hotel that opened nearly 30 years ago. He also said guests staying in the addition will not feel they are separated from the existing resort spaces. The first floor would be retail and the second floor would have convention space. Guest rooms would start on the third story. The east side of the tower would be hallways plus elevator shafts and stairwells.

What to Expect: The Coeur d Alene Golf Resort is the ultimate posh experience that generally can only be found at the most upscale private courses in the country. From the moment you enter the property through white gates it is clear that the staff is concerned about one thing; you. Service is top notch with complimentary massages being offered on the driving range, chilled and scented towels at the turn, and a golf cart that features heated leather seats and a cooler. The driving range features floating golf balls that are hit out into Lake Coeur d Alene and the fairways are cut tighter than most municipal golf course greens. The fairways slope toward the middle and you are sure to get some great kicks out of the "rough" that is trimmed as short as most courses fairways.

I had a business conference that was scheduled in at the Couer d Arlene Resort. At first I thought Idaho really what is so pretty there other than it is on a lake? Well the resort is fabulous. The rooms facing the lake are incredible. Literally there is nothing you could want more from a room. It had a sunken bedroom Thank you for your kind comments regarding your recent visit to the Resort. We look forward to welcoming you back sometime soon.
